Internship FAQs
What does an intern do at Greenwoman? Tasks are varied and generally center around publicity, primarily connecting to the public via writing and creating artwork on our social media sites—our Flora’s Forum blog, newsletter, Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, Greenwoman column at US Represented, etc. Interns will also have a chance to work on book publishing through Createspace and have a hand in the many aspects of print publishing. These include: creating artwork for book covers, manuscript layout, writing reviews, etc. In addition, interns may also be required to do data entry work, order fulfillment, filing, running errands, and going to public events.
Do I have to be a student to apply? No. Although many of our interns are students it is not a prerequisite. We welcome interns of all ages.
What do I get out of a Greenwoman Publishing internship? Experience, knowledge, connections, publishing credits (every intern will write an article/s or blog post/s), and an eye into the world of independent publishing.
Do I get credit for the internship? We hope so! We’ll help you in whatever way necessary to make that happen.
Can I do just part of the internships? No. If you apply for an internship you need to commit to the entire 10-week schedule.
