The Gospel of Regeneration:
George Washington Carver’s Legacy in Soil, Society, and Soul

Sandra Knauf brings George Washington Carver to life not as a distant historical figure, but as a visionary with an urgent message for today.

In her inspiring 45-minute presentation, The Gospel of Regeneration: George Washington Carver’s Legacy in Soil, Society and Soul, Sandra explores Carver as far more than an agricultural scientist, inventor, and teacher. Sandra reveals him as a prophet of regeneration — a man who taught how to heal depleted land, restore dignity to struggling communities, and reconnect to service, faith, and the natural world
.

Audiences leave not only informed, but energized by Carver’s timeless wisdom and its powerful application to living life today.

Sandra’s presentation blends storytelling, history, cultural insight, humor, and emotional depth into a talk that resonates with gardeners, homesteaders, educators, environmental advocates, faith communities, and anyone seeking hope in an era of burnout and disconnection. Drawing from decades of literary and publishing experience, Sandra has a gift for making complex ideas deeply human and accessible. Her warmth and authenticity create an atmosphere that feels both intellectually engaging and personally transformative.

As Michelle Johnson of Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds writes after Sandra's presentation at their 2026 "Back to the Land" Festival:

“Sandra’s talk was wonderful. It was an enlightening and engaging introduction to Carver’s work, especially for those encountering his character, humility, and far-reaching legacy for the first time. I came away inspired, and I know many others did as well.”
